The Shang dynasty was the first dynasty with bronze metallurgy. It had axes, spears, knives, arrowheads, and chariots with bronze on them. Due to this they had a powerful military. Bronze was not only used for the military it was also used for other things like shown above.

The Period of Warring States was from 453 B.C.E. to 221 B.C.E. This was a fight for power between states. Also a fight between Confucianism, Doaism, and legalism. At the end the Qin dynasty won the political war and also legalism but Confucianism wins for the long term.

The picture above shows Qin Shihuangdi army called the Terra Cotta Amy. They were not really real, they were pottery soldiers, horses and weapons. This was the tomb for Qin. This tomb was built by thousands of drafted laborers. Due to this and other projects, a revolt after Qins deaths by drafted laborers started because they would have to leave their homes and lands. They burned buildings and killed government officials.
